Artistic Producing Internship

{ Description }

Seeking an intern or apprentice with an interest in producing for stage and film in NYC. This internship will be extremely hands on with real-life experience. At the end of the internship, the intern will produce their own project from the ground up. Monthly MetroCard Stipend available for 10+ hours/week. The current associates on the { LRP } team all started as interns!

{ Responsibilities }

• Actively assisting in season planning and artistic programming

• Reading and reporting on submitted scripts and screenplays

• Assisting with box office management

• Learning how to research and write non-profit grants

• Assisting with donor relations

• Attending meetings with Executive Producer

• Attending readings/screenings/shows with or on the behalf of the Executive Producer

• Responding to general inquiry emails, checking voicemail, updating social media, and general administration assistance

No experience necessary. Just an eager willingness to learn anything and everything about creative producing for stage and film in New York City.

Jobs in Film Production: Production Assistants & Extras

{ Description }

{ LRP } produces 6-12 film productions per year and we are constantly updating our database of trustworthy and reliable production assistants to lend a hand on set as well as extras who may be interested in acting in the background of scenes on location throughout New York City and New Jersey.

{ Responsibilities }

• Set PA - Supporting the set through Lock-ups, managing Extras; helping in company moves or crowd control; collecting paperwork and out times for the production; passing out scripts and schedules; escort actors to and from set; deliver media or paperwork to the airport or the production office; and help load and unload equipment.
• Art Department PA - Assists with running errands and driving art van; may assist with construction of props or set dressing.
• Wardrobe PA - Assists Costumer; labels costumes; may organize costumes for laundering; runs errands; assists with collecting costumes.
• Extra - A performer who appears in a nonspeaking capacity, usually in the background of a film (for example, in an audience or busy street scene).

{ Requirements }

No experience necessary. Just an eager willingness to learn anything and everything about being on an independent film set in New York City.
